MOLECULAR MECHANISMS CONTROLLING GERMLINE BIOLOGY & GENOME EVOLUTION

Research Interests

Our lab focuses on the germline, the ‘immortal’ cell lineage that provides the continuity of life. We are interested in understanding the genetic and molecular mechanisms controlling germline development and sheltering the germline genome. Using Drosophila as a model, our work combines developmental, genetics, genomics, and evolution analyses to uncover general principles governing germline biology and genome evolution.
